Heal Your Gut Tip #7. Eat On Time

Your digestive system works more efficiently when it is on schedule. Eating unpredictably each day and missing meals can interrupt the ideal digestive processes and can also contribute to weight gain, bloating and indigestion, to name a few. Limiting the time spent eating each day may also help you consume less calories.

Our bodies are intelligent and work with the natural cycles from dusk to dawn. Eating breakfast during sunrise and dinner before sunset is the way our bodies were designed to function and stay in tune with the way nature intends.

Time- restricted eating such as  intermittent fasting, where you limit your eating to a small "window" during the day can also have profound effects on digestion and metabolic function. Benefits include weight loss, improved cardiovascular health and balanced blood sugar levels. With the intention to eat every 3 - 4 hours, helps your digestion to rest and not have to work so hard so your stomach can optimally digest food.

Hence, making the effort to schedule what you eat and when you eat will help keep your metabolism and energy levels performing at their best.
