Prebiotics from Onions & Garlic

When it comes to gut health, adding in prebiotic rich foods like onions and garlic can have powerful inflammation-fighting effects on the digestive system. Prebiotics are a form of dietary fiber that feed the friendly bacteria in your gut. Which in turn allows your gut bacteria to produce nutrients in the form of short-chain fatty acids (SCFA's) like butyrate, propionate and acetate in your colon cells.
